818 – Neurological Rehabilitation – Atlanta

December 8, 2018 @ 9:00 AM - December 9, 2018 @ 9:00 AM EST

$499 – $599

Presented by: Dr. Adam Klotzek

This is one course that you do not want to miss out on taking.  The rehabilitation of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders is at the core of what is needed to create long-lasting changes for our patients.  In fact, the principles in neuroplasticity dictate a certain level of intensity and repetition of care to induce immediate early gene responses that lie at the heart of long-term physical change.

Though there are many different courses out there teaching neurorehabilitation our course is quite different.  For one we incorporate the idea of “Brain Hemisphericity” into the techniques that we teach.  We are also different in that we strive to develop ways that we can easily measure fatigability coefficients in the brain without using invasive means.  As an example, well taught athletic trainers are taught to watch for muscle fatigue while training their clients. Constantly looking to adjust their programs to maximize intensity without exceeding the metabolic capabilities of their clients. In a very similar way in the field of neurological rehabilitation one must be aware of the fatigability coefficients brain and other neurological tissue.  The Carrick Institute has a long history of being a pioneer in this field looking at the physical exam in a completely different way to gain information of neuronal function and its fatigability under rehabilitative conditions.
