Faculty: Dr. Frederick Carrick
Gait and stance are the most recognized biomarkers in neurological health
and disease. This is a clinical module that allows doctors to apply the complex
phenomenology involved in neurological syndromes to a treatment based patient
Learners are expected to gain mastery in the recognition of pathological and normal
patterns of gait. Further, they will be able to develop treatment strategies that will
use these biomarkers as windows and parameters of change.
The applications of this module are not limited to the training of neurologists.
General practitioners and other non-specialist health care providers will find great
value in the implementation of strategies that might affect the integrity of the lives
of so many patients.
