Description
What you’ll learn:
- Identify and differentiate vestibular pathologies with accuracy.
- Perform validated vestibular and neurological examination procedures.
- Interpret test findings to guide individualized care plans.
- Apply evidence-based vestibular rehabilitation strategies.
- Integrate advanced rehabilitation approaches for complex or persistent cases.
Syllabus
Components
- Vestibular Anatomy and Physiology
- Missed vestibular involvement can delay recovery and complicate case management. This module establishes a clear understanding of vestibular structures and their neurological connections, creating a foundation for precise diagnosis and intervention.
- Vestibular Pathology and Diagnosis
- Subtle or atypical presentations often lead to misdiagnosis. Learn to recognize the full spectrum of vestibular pathologies and differentiate them from other balance and dizziness disorders with confidence.
- Vestibular Testing and Diagnosis
- Inaccurate testing can obscure the true source of dysfunction. This course teaches reproducible, clinically validated testing protocols to accurately identify vestibular deficits and guide targeted treatment.
- Neurological Examination and Diagnosis
- Overlooking the broader neurological context can limit treatment success. Develop comprehensive examination skills to connect vestibular findings with central and peripheral nervous system function.
- Vestibular Rehabilitation I
- Generic rehabilitation plans often fail to address the specific nature of vestibular dysfunction. Learn evidence-based, individualized intervention strategies that restore stability, reduce symptoms, and accelerate functional recovery.
- Vestibular Rehabilitation II
- Challenging or relapsing cases demand advanced solutions. Build on core rehabilitation strategies with complex program design, multi-system integration, and progressive therapeutic approaches for sustained results.
