What to expect

Do I need prior neurology training to start?

No. The curriculum begins at development and neuromuscular function and builds from there — it assumes a licensed clinician, not a neurologist.Two optional on-demand courses, Intro to Functional Neurology and the Functional Neurology Essentials Program, cover the background some students like to have first. They're recommended, not required, and your advisor will tell you honestly whether you need them.

What if I can't attend every module live?

You don't have to. Every live module is recorded and available on demand for 36 months, and livestream attendance is offered at select locations. Many students mix formats across the sequence.

What does "the cohort closes" actually mean?

A live series stops admitting new students once it has run two modules, so the group stays sequenced together. If you join after that point you'll complete the remaining modules on demand — with the same access, credential eligibility, and advisor support.

Can I switch locations partway through?

Yes. Your enrollment covers a live seat at any global location, so students routinely take one module in Minneapolis and the next in Adelaide or Cape Canaveral.

I'm not a chiropractor. Is this program for me?

Yes. MDs, DOs, PTs, NDs, and other licensed providers make up a meaningful share of every cohort. The DACNB is chiropractic-specific, but the ACFN Fellowship pathway and the Carrick Institute Certificate of Completion are open to all licensed providers.

How long does the full curriculum take?

Most students complete it in 18–30 months depending on how many live modules they attend per year. Your access runs 36 months, which is deliberately longer than the typical completion window.
