Dr. Lynn Carlson is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist currently practicing in the Charlotte, NC area. She met Professor Frederick Carrick in 1994 and credits him with instilling a passion and enthusiasm for continuing to learn and grow as a practitioner. She joined the faculty of the Carrick Institute in 2009 and has enjoyed collaborating in the education and training of other doctors.

Additionally, Dr. Carlson has served on the faculty of Life Chiropractic College West where she taught in the Diagnosis Department. Throughout her career, Dr. Carlson has presented numerous lectures related to Functional Neurology, Diagnosis and Management of Concussion Injury, Clinical Applications in Chiropractic, and Health and Wellness Principles.

She maintains active status with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board as a Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and the American College of Functional Neurology. Additionally, Dr. Carlson is a current member of the ACA Council on Neurology and the American Chiropractic Association.

Her personal achievements include a background in elite level sports. She was a NCAA Division I Collegiate 1st Team All-American in 1987 and a member of the Women’s National Field Hockey team from 1989-1991. She has competed at the World Cup in Sydney, Australia (1990), as well as, the Pan American Games, Havana, Cuba (1991).

Dr. Carlson has been inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for recognition of athletic achievement at Council Rock High School, Newtown, PA and has received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Massachusetts, Department of Exercise Science in recognition of continuing commitment to the goals of the Exercise Science/Kinesiology Department.
