Dr. David Traster DC, DACNB
Dr. David Traster has been involved with neurological optimization and performance enhancement for close to 20 years. Growing up as a basketball player and working as a personal trainer, Dr. Traster was always curious and passionate about performance and the factors that lead to physical and mental excellence. Due to his own personal injuries and health problems, Dr. Traster has had his own first hand experience as a chronically ill patient in the modern healthcare system which motivated him to enter healthcare.
As a student, Dr. Traster was mentored by world renown Dr. Frederick Carrick DC, PhD. From this and many other experiences, Dr. Traster learned that the health of the nervous system is fundamental in all human behaviors, including mental health, emotional health and physical health.
Dr. Traster graduated Chiropractic school in 2014 along with a master’s degree in sports health science, and a diplomate in chiropractic neurology. Dr. Traster also has fellowship training and certifications in concussion management/treatment, dizziness/vertigo, childhood developmental disorders, movement disorders, and dysautonomia (autonomic disorders of the nervous system).
Since 2018, Dr. Traster has been part of a team which owns The Neurologic Wellness Center and has four locations located in Florida, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Dr Traster has lectured and consulted around the world relating to neurological optimization and improving patient care outcomes in a wide range of cases ranging from professional athletes improving visual processing speed to grandmothers improving balance and dizziness.
In conjunction with his clinical practice, Dr. Traster has participated in research and education. Dr Traster has been a co-author on 36 case study publications in the Journal of Frontiers Neurology. He was named the student of the year in 2013 by the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation and was awarded the 2018 Functional Neurology Instructor of the Year by the Carrick Institute.
