Course Description
This 30-hour bootcamp, led by Dr. David Traster, is designed to sharpen clinicians' bedside neurological examination skills for improved diagnosis and treatment planning. Participants will master examination techniques across all levels of the neuraxis—including the end organs, peripheral nerves, spinal cord, brainstem, cerebellum, basal ganglia, and cortex. Through real-world case studies, clinicians will practice skills such as posturography, video-oculography (VOG), eye-tracking, and balance and gait assessments. Emphasis is placed on clinical localization, interpretation, and building treatment plans based on detailed neurological exam findings.
What you’ll learn:
- Perform comprehensive neurological exams including cranial nerve, motor, sensory, reflex, and cognitive assessments.
- Integrate posturography, video-oculography, and eye-tracking into clinical diagnostic workflows.
- Localize neurological dysfunctions across the end organs, peripheral and central nervous systems.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans based on exam findings for enhanced clinical outcomes.
