Concussion Bootcamp

Concussion is affecting the world at pandemic proportions, with research estimating approximately one in 10 people sustains one or more each year.

What is Concussion Bootcamp?

Concussion BootCamp is an intensive 2-day, 15-hour course specifically curated for healthcare providers, offering both a foundational introduction and advanced updates on concussion care and management. Delivered in a fast-paced, high-level format, participants will immerse themselves in the latest evidence-based practices, diagnostic techniques, and treatment protocols. Whether you’re a professional seeking an introduction or an established provider aiming for a refresher, Concussion BootCamp equips you with the tools and insights to elevate your care and confidently address the complexities of concussion in your practice.

The GOAL of Concussion Bootcamp

With over 30 official “unified” definitions, inconsistent evaluations, constantly evolving guidelines, and no published standard approach to rehabilitation, it’s no wonder that concussions are confusing everyone. Meanwhile, best estimates suggest that in any particular year, 1 in 10 people will sustain a concussion, and nearly EVERY person will have sustained at least one concussion by the age of 20.  Lack of medical education and cohesiveness is causing the public education to suffer, underreporting, and a failure to receive proper care. What many don’t know is that concussions might heal, like a broken bone or a scar, but the long-term effects associated with this wide-spread injury are not yet known.

This 2-day, information-packed, high-level and fast-paced workshop will ensure that its delegates master the diagnosis of concussion based on the most current evidence, evaluate the 5 major profiles (or subtypes) of concussion and commonly associated syndromes, understand the pathophysiology associated with each, then craft customized training exercises to rehabilitate or enhance neurological function in patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, and professional athletes.
