Guided by expert instructors, participants will work through a live patient case, encompassing every stage of care—from subjective data collection and diagnostic testing to sensory integration and outcome measurement. Each aspect enables practitioners to build effective, personalized care plans grounded in systematic thinking and evidence-based practice.

Course Objectives

  1. Subjective Data Collection: Utilize assessment tools to understand patient history, review systems, and define dysfunction mechanisms.
  2. Diagnostic Testing: Conduct and analyze diagnostic tests to identify specific brain network dysfunctions.
  3. Sensory Integration: Examine and integrate various sensory inputs relevant to patient care.
  4. Care Plan Development: Construct a multidisciplinary care plan for a live patient, synthesizing findings from each discipline.
  5. Outcome Measurement: Assess care plan outcomes, analyze clinical patterns, and determine next steps in patient care.

Prerequisites:

  1. Prior completion of one or more CI courses within the last 3 years, along with a signed waiver.
  2. Note: This capstone course emphasizes critical thinking and in-the-moment learning. Participants should take personal notes, as course materials will not be distributed.
  3. This masterclass is a rare opportunity for practitioners to engage in high-level clinical integration, enhancing their skills and gaining insights directly from leading experts.

Dr. Jeremy Schmoe

Dr. Schmoe, founder and director of The Functional Neurology Center, is a renowned expert in treating complex neurological disorders. With over 13 years of experience, he has successfully managed thousands of patients from across the U.S. and internationally, addressing conditions such as head injuries, vertigo, dysautonomia, dizziness, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and developmental disorders. Dr. Schmoe treats patients of all ages and specializes in tackling the most challenging cases by integrating advanced neuro-rehabilitation techniques, manual therapy, lab diagnostics, and personalized nutrition strategies. His extensive post-graduate training in functional neurology, neuroimmunology, and functional medicine ensures cutting-edge, comprehensive care for his patients.

Dr. Paul Brewer
OD, USAW

Dr. Paul Brewer is a leading neuro-optometrist and founder of Diverge Sports Vision, an innovative organization specializing in sports vision training, neurorehabilitation, and concussion management. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University–Hawaii and a Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Brewer combines his academic excellence with personal athletic experience to optimize visual performance for athletes.

As an assistant professor at the Carrick Institute and a board member of the International Sports Vision Association, he is a trusted authority in the field, frequently consulting for professional and collegiate sports teams. A sought-after global speaker, Dr. Brewer’s work is also informed by his family life, particularly his youngest daughter’s autism, which has deepened his expertise in vision therapy for developmental delays. Outside of his professional life, he and his wife, Kristi, share a passion for outdoor activities and CrossFit, where Kristi has achieved national and world recognition in Olympic weightlifting.

Dr. Matthew Antonucci
