We are so excited to have you as a virtual presenter at Synapse Sessions! Your presentation will be pre-filmed and a digital copy will be available to attendees. We anticipate a presentation length of 20-30 minutes, pre-recorded and include an interview intro and outro, along with an opportunity for you to speak to the audience about your practice location, type of practice, etc.

Record Your Virtual Presentation with Dr. Garcia
After scheduling your interview you will receive an email with recording preparation steps, and a zoom link to connect and record. We anticipate a presentation length of 20-30 minutes, pre-recorded and include an interview intro and outro

Presentation Preperation

Your presentation will be 20-30 minutes

We anticipate a presentation length of 20-30 minutes, pre-recorded, and include an interview intro and outro, along with an opportunity for you to speak to the audience about your practice location, type of practice, etc. Please know your scheduled time with Dr. Garcia is booked for 90 minutes.

Attire

*Business / Professional Attire ( shirt & tie) for men, Professional Business Attire for Women is required for the Synapse Sessions Presentations.

NOTES
If you would like to send out any notes to go along with your Synapse Sessions Virtual presentation please email them to admissions@carrickinstitute.com the day you record with Dr. Garcia.
Recording Prep.

Please plan ahead to use good lighting, camera, headphones and microphone, professional dress, and background. We will also be asking for your phone number in case we need to call you to resolve any technical difficulties.

How To Ensure A Good Recording

Zoom

Be sure to download zoom before your presentation with Dr. Garcia. You can download zoom here: https://zoom.us/download

Good Mirophone / Headphones
We want to make sure the audience can hear you and the sound is clear. Please have a good microphone and set of headphones when preparing for your recording.
Backdrop
You want people focusing on your face, not on what's behind you. Keep it plain and simple with your background. Make sure your camera is at eye-level and not looking up at you.
Lighting
Make sure you have even lighting. Avoid sitting with your back to the window, as the camera will expose for the light and make you into a silhouette. Instead, flip it, and face the window, which will give you soft, people-pleasing light.
