Course Description
This 25-hour course offers a comprehensive, functional neurochemical approach to understanding and managing thyroid-related conditions with a focus on brain function. Dr. David Clark guides clinicians through thyroid hormone physiology, lab analysis, neurological assessments, and clinical applications. Participants will learn to identify, evaluate, and treat thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and thyroid-related neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions. Emphasis is placed on real-world diagnostics, nutritional strategies, and integrating thyroid care into existing clinical practice.
What you’ll learn:
- Understand thyroid hormone synthesis, metabolism, and its role in brain development and function.
- Identify and manage six major thyroid disorders including Hashimoto’s and thyrotoxicosis.
- Interpret lab panels and physical exam findings relevant to thyroid and neurological function.
